It's an absurd fiction that everyone in Congress, The Chief Justice, everyone in the national political press, and every major news outlet a) doesn't know the whistleblower's name, and b) are somehow prohibited to mention Eric Ciaramella's name. Nobody REALLY believes this lie.
The fact that several of the largest national press outlets have outed Eric Ciaramella either a) implicitly through a ton of details about him (New York Times, CNN), that narrow down to only him, and b) explicitly in some cases (Real Clear Investigations, Fox News). Unbelievable.
Everyone is prevented from his saying his name - through the power of magic - despite his name explicitly being said on air, in print, and all over social media. Why? This defies journalistic fundamentals, that once a name like this has been leaked, it is somehow still a secret.
And just to be clear I was against Eric Ciaramella's identity from being revealed as the whistleblower from the very beginning. But once the mainstream media essentially outed him, it's no longer true that his identity has been concealed. They screwed up. Now they're covering up.
What in the world is wrong with the journalism industry, and our government, that they have to construct something so overtly and noticeably false, that we have to abide by their falsehoods? If someone lies to you, you are not obligated to pass that along, or lie for them.
Adam Schiff lies to the world, on the floor of Congress, and says "I don't know the identity of the whistleblower." Also Chief Justice, you cannot read Eric Ciaramella's name into the record. It's a weird coincidence, for sure, but that's what everyone must believe. Not logical.
The fact the MSM uses language like "identifies the whistleblower" indicates they know who he is. The fact someone says, on air, his name, and someone else in the know immediately says "that's the first time his name was mentioned on air" clues you in just how many people know.
How many "secrets" are out there in which millions of people know, but both the entire journalism industry, and the federal government, still pretends is true. The NORAD tracking of Santa Clause? Is Eric Ciaramella "Santa Clause 2.0?" Is he going to deliver us presents this year?
I'll wrap with this: The national political press and our federal government is lying to you. You can decide for yourself if you are bound to the fictions they create.
