Absolutely ruthless takedown of the House Manager's 24+ hours of argumentation by highlighting many of the facts omitted over 4 days. The best part? Practically no repetition. The sub-2 hour presentation starts here, about 6 minutes in:
In my mind this brief hearing was a slam dunk. This is literally a debunk session, highlighting as number of things the HMs omitted, even though they had all this information. This question was common: "Why not? Why did the House Managers never tell you this?"
"Why didn't the House Impeachment Managers show this evidence, when they have it? Why not show evidence in full context, with exculpatory information they have at hand, and are fully aware of? Why make a prosecution based on a partial selection of facts?" Basically.
"Why hear these facts now after 24+ hours of argumentation by the prosecution? Why embellish what occurred, from the transcript, to the testimony of witnesses? Why spend all this time repeating partial facts, misrepresenting details, and relying on half-truths?"
Defense made a point they will repeat less and be more efficient. And they actually didn't repeat practically anything. They called back to a couple things but didn't keep replaying video and repeating themselves.
Defense pointed out facts and evidence the prosecution refused to show. Not only that, but you'll notice in no way did they try to insult their audience. They didn't have to malign the jurors to make their case. They didn't try to persuade through fear. What a contrast.
They divided the 2 hours between 3 lawyers, so nobody spoke more than an hour, and they focused on a) Process and b) Merits. They went through key facts that were omitted by the House Managers, and explained why the omitted information was important. "Why didn't they tell you?"
The most notable thing was them showing Keeps showing video the House Democrats omitted from the hearings. Anyone who watched the hearings knew these things were omitted, but to see clip after clip, it basically showed the rest of the story.
It really is like they just took notes from the 4 days of arguments, and decided to grab some of the biggest omissions, and put a torch to them. And they just asked, after mentioning each series of buried facts, why were you not told these things? Powerful.
They showed some of Schiff's misrepresentations and his sudden reversal on having the whistleblower's connection to the Bidens, and consultation of Schiff's team, that he denied on TV. They made the case he really is a fact witness here, who didn't testify, like Ken Starr did.
They torched the process the House Democrats did, from delaying the vote on the inquiry until weeks after they started their own private and later public hearings. They explained in detail the House Manager executive privilege arguments were straw men.
