Smart businessmen & women didn't need "government guidance" to know what to do re #Brexit.

It's glorious watching anti-Brexit Brits/Europeans whine about it all. Especially when they should have known a 52-48 referendum win was likely to eventually become law.

They keep underestimating us.

30 years since the release of George Michael's "Freedom 90"

I have always loved the sound and feel of this song, and the music video has aged well, too.

Meaning of the song: The artist was railing against Sony Music because:
At the tender age of 18 or so, George Michael and Andrew Ridgely formed the group Wham! and signed a 6-album record deal with some random agent at a London coffee shop.

As they freely admitted later, they were young and gullible and should have sought legal advice first.

Harry always wanted out. Meghan was the wrong choice on every level. He wouldn't listen to anyone. They owe the longsuffering UK public but will slip away like the Duke of Windsor did.

🖕Monarchy & country will continue to thrive.
(4) Honestly, I'm relieved. Harry and his Clinton-Obama appointee SJW c-grade actress can f*&k off to whatever country will have them, and we shall carry on as before.

Better than before, since we won't have their whiny griftting asses dragging us down.

(5) Here's the outstanding Duke of Edinburgh visiting the troops in Basra at the age of 85.

He fought in the Pacific during WWI, as a Royal Navy officer.

(1) None of this is a problem for families who parent their children well, by educating them about what to expect in the online world, and properly supervising their internet use.

It's a learning opportunity, not the next cause for mass moral panic.
(2) Besides, as soon as the internet could handle the file size of a photo, ie early 1990s, people of all ages were accessing online porn. So, these "boys" you speak of are now men, and the sky has not fallen as a result of their porn use.

Credit people with some intellect.
(3) I say to teenage girls that if the boy you like has a bad attitude about girls because of online porn; find someone else.

Let the market sort it out.

We must keep those in power & the bureaucrats constantly in check. Bottom-up. Decentralization. We have to bother them, demand more from them, and make them feel uncomfortable if they don’t keep their political promises or don’t deliver. We have to expose them too when necessary!
The State, its bureaucrats, politicians as well as supranational organizations are not masters but are to be seen as (social) servants providing a specific social good that is desired by a healthy mass of citizens (collective service, good, demand). Otherwise, social parasitism.

Back in Berlin from this year's British-German #Königswinter Conference.

The best summary was incidentally provided by a border guard at Heathrow, who said to me upon seeing my destination:

"Please tell your friends we are still European". /1
A few more impressions: Everything started off with a clear political signal as the German official delegation arrived in the UK en route from Dublin.

Main message: EU-27 are the priority, and Berlin is 100% behind Ireland. /2
Most striking was the mood between Germans and Brits:

Brexit now seems to be more and more an accepted reality, with less grudge.

The deep regret is still there, though with a willingness to look ahead. /3
