Employees and models spoke to @nytimes on the record for the first time to describe what happened.
Some aspiring models were so eager to curry favor with Victoria’s Secret that they agreed to pose nude for a prominent photographer, who published their photos (w/ the models’ permission) in an $1800 book.

Some execs worried about the appearance of exploitation.
