Here is one of those emails from June 2019 that says POTUS FOLLOW UP. So we know the aid freeze as of June 2019 was a directive from President Trump. And we have all had this email since December, in a redacted state. 
Some of us--like Just Security and others I cannot name--have also seen unredacted versions of this email. So no news here, as far as I can tell. This is from early January. justsecurity.org/67863/exclusiv…

It is true that DOJ on Friday filed a response to a lawsuit from Center for Public Integrity that details why it thinks it should not have to release undacted/less redacted versions of emails. But that Summary Judgment motion breaks almost no new ground. documentcloud.org/documents/6749…
