Read this. From a doctor inside Wuhan. The situation is dire. What can we do to help? Key is what he said:

The 1st three wks determine life or death as after fatality chance rises! Meaning, if u even remotely feel somewhat sick, drink fluids & rest!

Some useful advise from the ICU doctor & also will cover the chronology of event. He said that the 1st three wks MOST KEY. After wards, fatality rates rise to 4-5% so even if u're alive after 3 wks, complicated.

Key is if u feel less than 100%, rest w/ plenty of fluids!
OK, so chronology of event (see the doctor's death below & they are similar & showing why it took so long):

10 Jan: 16 ICU beds were full & notified leadership
12 Jan: 3 Specialists were sent to investigate & said SARs like but only discussed diagnosis;

12 Jan: ICU doctor replied & said that diagnostic too limited & too few people being diagnosed & many hospitals in Wuhan complained the same.

18 Jan: High-level specialists showed up, ICU doctor said diagnosis criteria too stringent & put society at risk. Criteria changed.
28 Jan: By then, w/ a new diagnostic criteria, 40 have been infected (all of the hospital medical personnel) vs 2 infections previously.

Note that by this time, the famous doctor who died is about to die in 8 days.

Here are his thoughts on the virus that is useful.
His thoughts highlighted below:

Virus highly contagious but low mortality rate. Key 1st 3 wks and if past 3 wks then mortality rates rise to 4-5% & complicated.

ICU patients are obvs already life-threatening so of the 36 in ICU, 5 died +1 on 3 Feb, 28 recovered;
So basically, key pts are:

a) 1st 3 wks key, as in life or death so if u feel somewhat unwell, do not take the risk & rest & plenty of fluids;

b) This virus attacks the immune system & if not under control in 1st 3 wks, escalates VERY QUICKLY & can turn life-threatening FAST!
Lessons from this article are:

Key is to contain & if not, then at the early stage, nip it in the bud;

If severe, hospitalize ASAP but don't get to the life-threatening stage obvs

No drugs so far to cure this & some cocktail may work.

So w/ that, I'm off to Twins Peak🤗🌄
The ratios he mentioned are interesting. So basically, of the 138 confirmed (already got severe symptoms):

36 admitted to ICU so 26% of those w/ body inflammed turning to life-threatening; Once u're in the ICU, mortality is 17%

Of the 138 cases, 6 died so rate is mortality 4.3%
No now that doctor's death makes sense: by the time he was diagnosed, he already was in the severe stage & his symptoms still tested false negative (4.3% fatality rate at this stage).

So basically, his chance of survival was lower & by the time u're in the ICU, which means 26%.
Makes sense the lower mortality rate of mainland China or outside Hubei as what is key is what u do immediately once u feel somewhat under the the weather!

Early detection, early rest & copious about of fluid intake, & early self quarantine🤗

Sincerely,

@Trinhnomics
Food for the flu recipe:

An onion, some ginger, a lot of fresh garlic, about half a chicken & 1.5 cups of rice.

Get a big pot & put all of that stuff inside the pot & fill it up w/ water. Boil for 15 mins & simmer for hours! Add salt & whatever else u want for seasoning😋👍🏻🍜!!
