I'm all the way in Nevada and my youngest cat is being taken to the ER for urinary blockage.

I feel powerless right now.
Please send kind thoughts to little Kion.

Since his daddy is halfway across the country and can't be with him in the emergency room.
He's going into surgery and he'll be kept overnight.

Tomorrow we learn more.
UPDATE: Kion is stable. He's been catheterized, transferred to our primary vet and is staying overnight for observation.

Vet bills are crazy. I don't care — I'll spend anything for my baby to get better — but now I'm wishing I hadn't bought Hamilton tickets hours before.
Our sweet little baby boy is back home after the two day vet visit from hell.

He's still on pain meds. But he can pee on his own again. I'm so proud of him, and of @fawfulfanswife, the best cat mom in the world.

Republicans don't get that there is no one single fix to climate change.

I'm all for reforestation and carbon capture technology, but those aren't a free pass to keep using fossil fuels. And that's what Republicans are presenting this bill as. feeds.reuters.com/~r/Reuters/Pol…
I do find it refreshing that Republicans now feel obligated to come up with their own climate policy plan. And I don't disagree with anything in their bill (other than maybe the natural gas subsidies).

What I have a problem with is how they're claiming it's all that's needed.
Yes, a comprehensive climate policy plan should involve reforestation and carbon capture. But it should ALSO involve efficiency standards, carbon pricing, urban density and mass transit incentives, retrofit mandates, geoengineering research and pilot programs. And a lot more.

Here's the thing, @justinamash: I think that you are a true believer in reducing the debt out of a firm conviction that America should not spend beyond its means.

But most of your GOP colleagues, and the billionaires who have lobbied them to cut the debt, have an ulterior goal.
Their actual goal is not to make the U.S. fiscally responsible. Their goal is to enrich Wall Street by shrinking the market for Treasury bonds, so that the Social Security administration and other big holders of those bonds have to turn to private securities instead.
BUT, the rub is, that's only one way Wall Street can rent-seek. Another way is lobbying for massive tax cuts that free up corporate profits short term.

Even though that contradicts paying down the debt, it's a tool to the same end. So they don't care.

We rarely talk about the reason why the megarich are so obsessed with cutting the federal deficit.

Less public debt means the govt can issue fewer Treasury bonds. And with fewer Treasury bonds, agencies like Social Security would have to turn to Wall Street for securities.
I'm not saying that just adding more and more and more debt is a good thing. If we had a real debt crisis, it could devalue our currency and cause other problems.

But our current level of debt is not a crisis, and we should recontextualize the motives of those who say it is.
The real crisis is that we have spent the last 40 years slashing vital public programs and investments to the bone, chasing budget surpluses that stand to benefit Wall Street far more than they would ever benefit the working people who rely on the programs being cut.

I think it is important I say some uncomfortable things to women today in an effort for them to face some harsh realities. I already know I'm wasting my time to place a disclaimer of any kind, because the words of a man are already seen as excuses, deflections, justifications etc
Men/women like to think they are experts when it comes to talking about each other, women talk to women, men talk to men...both sides end up with pretty much the same conclusions..."men are..." and "women are.." and we just keep on down that same road expecting changes
I'm not a psychologist or trained in whatever and even those who are have diff opinions, some popular some not...I think we can all agree in Jamaica women run homes, families, are in workroom to boardroom etc...women run tings...yet the narrative makes it seem otherwise

The first thing to say is: don't ever encourage your child to point and laugh at people who are different. Ever.

That might ​seem​ obvious, but I've encountered parents who’ve done so - and even filmed me, too.

I can't with this guy...but interestingly, he's also revealing a lot with each one of these interviews.

Why not just go speak to the Grand Jury? Clearly, it's not about avoiding spending more time talking about the investigation and your experience...

He can't help himself..
#NOW: SAM NUNBERG says he was told he wasn't a target or a subject of the investigation and he was OFFERED IMMUNITY by the Special Counsel's team.

He also said THEY WANT HIM TO TESTIFY...TO CATCH ROGER STONE ON PERJURY...

ADMITTING THAT ROGER MAY HAVE LIED TO PROSECUTORS.
