This doesnt mean you give up - in order to stop fascism you need to ensure that important social groups defend democratic norms.
Fascism rarely wins elections or revolutions - it suceeds when the middle class & elites support or accept it.

Indeed the Liberal obsession with truth misses the point. The point of fascism is to mobilise people behind untruths - mystical, racial etc.
You can't defeat fascism with truth alone - you must make it clear they will not suceed & will be isolated.

Brexit & Trump didn’t succeed becos people suddenly decided to believe lies. They succeeded as media, political leaders communicated that it was totally fine to go down this path.
The March towards far right won’t be stopped until we delegitimise it.
