I’m not sure anyone appreciates the deep well of anger and pain among Warren supporters—many of whom are the women whose activism drove 2018—listening to experts write off Elizabeth Warren’s campaign.
Just anecdotally, I’ve had conversations over the past few days with several Warren supporters who have been surprised themselves. They knew they liked her most, but didn’t anticipate the rage they feel right now.

Even more than Hillary, Warren is their avatar. Boomer women are especially livid at the idea that a smart, eminently competent woman isn’t enough.
That isn’t to say her campaign has been perfect or that she’s even the right nominee. But I haven’t seen this anger noted anywhere.

Seeing a lot of pushback from Harris supporters (I was on a plane taking off and just got back online) and I should point out that many of these women also really liked Kamala Harris and even preferred her. That contributes to their rage now as well.
