1/ Why Mike? I see him as the anti-Trump

With Trump
—i see domestic corruption
with such rippling mimicry
inspiring frauds, liars, hucksters-galore all emboldened with predatory impunity— that does damage eroding trust domestically between institutions once trusted—

2/ Trump debasing the
FBI
CIA
DoJ
AG
Fed

cozying up to Russia + Turkey
allowing slaughter of allies

running a sham scam fraud of a personal foundation—not out of ignored ideaological or philosophical principle—but out of quest for total impunity and total control...

3/ I liked NYC under Mike
I see the drastic contrast under Deblasio

I loved the caliber of people who were drawn to want to work in Bloomberg admin
They had well intentioned problem solving ambition and intellect...

4/ I saw it firsthand with edu + charters where he tactfully took on union leaders who did not put inner city kids first
He brought in Joel Klein to take on their Monopoly...

And galvanized many individuals to give private personal philanthropy in a civil rights movement for edu

5/ I despise "Trump" the character—a fake billionaire who inherited wealth, squandered it, faked success, duped masses into their idea of what a rich guy was, bathed in infidelity, catch+kill cover-ups, a cruel heartless domineering deeply insecure retributive spiteful bully

6/ I despise the people attracted to him and their pathetic sycophantic pandering that wittingly equates complicity to his corruption to reciprocity by reaping the spoils he can steal and dole out for pledged fealty.

7/ So yeah Mike is worse than imperfect

He was horribly wrong on stop + frisk. And his apologies seem cynical and transactional and late

He almost surely said many gross crude sexist insulting things. Though I'd be more shocked if he ever physically crossed line...

8/ On China we want him to be jingoistic + nationalist and wear a Winnie the Pooh outfit while calling Xi a dictator despot and promising us he didn't trade his morals or principles for making money in China

I think he has a Kissinger pragmatism on China more likely to avert war

9/ Maybe he is too old school. Maybe he is too old. Maybe too rich or too out of touch or too aloof or arrogant or too white or too Jewish or too short.

Maybe we are too split as a country and we all deserve two extreme populists splitting us bitterly—and it is Bernie v Trump

10/ Maybe I am too naive and out of touch as I understand why and how Bernie and Trump appeal to someone—just as I get how someone could love Insane Clane Posse but they're just not my thing

Above Mike shortcomings + mistakes I want civility, competence, reason to retake stage

11/ He was imperfect mayor
made mistakes big ones
but was
never CORRUPT
never INCOMPETENT
always surrounded himself w/ intelligent
competent hi integrity people
Made compromises
Logically understood econ, tech, data
made decisions that empricially worked

OPPOSITE Trump
