Imagine if in a work meeting, any time you asked the person leadin it for details on something, a group of people you’d never met before walked in the door and called you “disgusting,” said “shame on you!” (and worse).
Imagine if when you asked questions about this group of people appearing at key moments to yell at you, more people walked in the door to yell at you.
Imagine if others around you had some ideas and plans about what to do about these interlopers, but the person leading the meeting did not. Imagine if the person leading the meeting knew the interlopers were coming, but stayed quiet about it.
Imagine if the person leading the meeting had known about the possibility of interlopers for years, but said nothing about it.
Imagine if when something is said outside the meeting about the interlopers, the person who led he meeting is angry that it was mentioned. Imagine if he then said things like “you can’t stop us.”
You would probably: question your sanity, start avoiding meetings, stay quiet so as to not trigger the interlopers, become fearful. All things that would prevent doing actual work.
