I didn’t tell anyone at the time that I was hooked nor did I ask for help. I was fortunate to beat my addiction on my own, but for the 4-6 months that I consumed ridiculous amounts of Percocet & Vicodin, I was a different person & was afraid to admit the grip it had on me.
The spinal surgeries I had were brutal and I foolishly thought the pain meds would help me deal w the pain. I was wrong. they just made me less angry and agitated. But the pain was/is always there.
I’ve been clean since 2010 and will NEVER let that happen to me again.

So, @taylor4arizona, I can empathize with you. I’ve never nor will I ever take Heroin but I know what the rest is like. You’re not alone.
