Covid-19 is likely widespread in the US, b/c the CDC is just now getting a trickle of test kits to states. They sent out defective test kits 2 wks ago that were returned. Yesterday, all states started to receive kits. CA has a few hundred kits for a population of 40M.
You can thank @realDonaldTrump for the 3rd world performance of the CDC. He slashed their budget. The US is one of the worst prepared nations for Covid-19. He tried to downplay it saying we only have 15 cases. BTW, there are 60, and it's likely a far higher number. No one knows.
And why did it take 6 wks for the CDC to send out test kits? Other countries have tested tens of thousands of people, while the US has only tested a few hundred. This gross incompetence b/c of the crime WH will likely lead to the deaths of Americans. #ThanksTrump.
As a result of Covid-19, the US stock market fell 10% from an all-time high in less time than any time in history. This is a potential financial crisis in the making. Such a fall may push the US into a recession far faster....

CA is monitoring 8,400 patients that may have Covid-19. 33 have tested positive, but due to the severe shortage of testing kits, thanks to @realDonaldTrump cutting the CDC funds, all CA can do is monitor the patients.
