I feel like everybody following American politics is obsessed with saying “x WILL happen” and “x CAN’T/WON’T win” when the only constant for the last 20+ years is crazy stuff nobody expected happening.
A few months ago there was “no way” Trump would win again then a couple weeks ago was “obviously he’s going to win” then it was inevitable Bernie and tonight it’s “who will Biden pick as his running mate?”
Considering the election that started off this century maybe chill out and let things happen. It’s what Presidents Gore and Romney would want.

Trump says the stock market is having its worst week since the economic crisis because of "the unknown," which he says is largely because "they're not happy with the Democrat candidates."

The markets have crashed due to the coronavirus along with concerns about Trump response.
Trump stands by his completely false assertion that global concerns about the coronavirus, including those that have caused markets to crash, are a "hoax" and singles out CNN, falsely saying the outlet "is doing everything they can to instill fear in people."
Trump rambles while attempting to give a coronavirus update: "A lot of people are getting better ... the fifteen number ... the fifteen people likewise we have them down to a much lower number ... one of the people is -- i wouldn't say not doing well"

THREAD: As a PM my main task is stock selection but at times like this I must take on events. This is my attempt on understanding the virus in live fashion, mostly I will ask questions out loud in order to know what answers I seek. Most important Q how big/bad can this get?
2/ Natural Factors to consider; natural transmission rates (how easily the virus spreads or is transmitted), incubation periods (long), symptoms are hidden (latent reaction), and then mortality rates...so far early imperfect data on all of these seem to point to a big problem
3/ Transportation Networks to consider; global and local network nodes, Air travel is more global than ever and we are seeing minute by minute small number of cases turn up globally, while inner city travel in China will determine how bad things get within China
