Focus on the smallest idea you can find.

Don't try to explain your entire worldview in one article.

Focus on the smallest idea you can find instead — which you can explain in one sentence.

Brick-by-brick, article-by-article, you will build a Colesseum of ideas.
Too many beginner writers pick big topics like "Everything You Need to Know About the Stock Market" and "Artificial Intelligence in the Digital Age." Then, they get stuck because their ideas can expand in an infinity of ways.

Big ideas are paralyzing.

Write about small ideas.
All ideas expand when you write about them, so your thesis should feel uncomfortably small at first. Expect 75% of your ideas about a topic to come after you start writing.

As you write, you'll unlock a kingdom of ideas you wouldn't have seen before putting your pen to the page.

Subscription podcasting is under-rated.

People are extremely loyal to their favorite podcast creators.

Die-hard fans want AMAs, in-depth show notes, and exclusive podcast episodes.

Best of all, creators can benefit from the software-as-a-service model without many of the costs
I feel this as a consumer.

I'm tremendously grateful for the hard work of people like @patrick_oshag and @PeterAttiaMD — wish I could pay them more for their work.

As a creator, I want an incentive to publish podcasts as often as I write, and hire a team to produce the show.
My beliefs about online publishing:

1) The Internet disproportionately rewards the top 1% of people, especially if they are unique.

2) Curious and well-spoken people who are 100% themselves are always unique — by definition.

3) The Internet is way bigger than you can imagine.

Schools are closing. Thousands of teachers will be teaching online for the first time in their lives, and students deserve to keep learning.

Here’s my advice to teachers.

1. Bring extra energy: You need extra energy when you’re teaching online. Turn up your energy by 50%.
2. Give students 1-on-1 time.

Online teaching platforms make 1-on-1 discussion easy. Use them deliberately. Students on their computers are much more likely to get distracted, but small group conversations about the material wake them up.
3. Follow the 30/30/30/10 Rule.

As a general rule of thumb, 30% of your time should be a lecture, 30% should be 1-on-1 discussion, and 30% should be for class discussion, and the other 10% should be for the introduction and conclusion.

It's is a short metaphorical essay on progress in human life.
