Yes, true. Interstitial cystitis is, in my clinical analysis, is a dysautonomia; caused by sacroiliac dysfunction (subluxation) that creates impingement upon the contiguous pre-sacral neural plexus; site of pelvis parasympathetic neural tracts.
No microbial infestation has ever been demonstrated associated with Interstitial Cystitis. Killed Tuberculosis microbial bladder infusions have been touted as therapeutic, but data is wanting.
My hypothesis is that Cannabis Indica, not Sativa which is sympathomimetic, would be therapeutic. Indica seems to stimulate the parasympathetic system.
My vote for Interstitial Cystitis therapy would be to daily or twice daily insert rectal suppositories made from milk butter or coconut butter & which each contain the entourage of cannabinoids eluted from about 1 gram of a strong Indica strain flower, a kush cultivar.
Butter solutions extracted in a crock pot held at less than 210 degrees, (at about 180 degrees) overnight would not decarboxylate the THC-A, and thereby mute psychotropic effects (the high).
No one has ever been reported to overdose with fatality from natural Cannabis medicinals. The same cannot be said of synthetic cannabinoids.
Such a study as I have suggested will never be funded in this country, where it seems that research studies are favored wherein the working hypothesis is to show harm from natural Cannabis use.
Whether this federal regulatory posture relates to the fact that the federal government owns the patents on a slew of natural cannabinoid congeners is but a wild speculation.
PREDICTION: when the pharmaceutical industry finally gains FDA approval for labeling & production of one or more synthetic cannabinoid medicinals, via federal government license, scheduling of Cannabis as a dangerous substance absent medicinal value (Class 1) will be abolished.
