However remain gaps that must be filled. Support for @WHO, ensuring supply chains, provision Personal Protective Equipment #HealthCareWorkers, critically importance equipment clinical care & critically - Research, Development & Manufacturing of Diagnostics, Treatments & Vaccines
Must ensure R&D & distributed manufacturing, equitable distribution & access available,affordable #PPE, diagnostics,treatments & vaccines if/when available.Has to be done at risk,multiple approaches in parallel, at scale & that needs public & private sector funding. Now. At scale

It is absolutely right for @WHO to have declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Countries, public health teams and researchers worldwide have been acting on this with the very highest level of concern for the last few weeks. @DrTedros
But this virus has spread at unprecedented scale and speed, with cases passing between people in multiple countries across the world. Declaration of an international emergency will undoubtedly sharpen governments’ focus on protecting citizens.
But we must also step-up as an international community to make sure no one is left behind - with all interventions, including public health measures, diagnostics, treatments and vaccines available to everyone.

Commitment of all teams to patients,families,communities & to do whatever it takes to bring epidemic to an end with approach that is trusted & locally led is remarkable teams that are often away from their families in really tough conditions-the world owes them all a huge amount

1. Firstly, the IMF has not committed to any financial assistance yet, which is always conditioned on economic reforms. For now, it is offering non-binding technical support, advising Lebanon on its budget and austerity measures.
2. That sounds nice enough, so why are people hating? Well, the IMF is typically a proponent of uber-capitalist reforms that focus on numbers, not human lives. Widespread criticism of these tactics have pushed the IMF to work on its image and aim for a more balanced approach.

In early July, I expressed serious doubts that #IMF SBA program in Argentina is going to stay on track for long. The program, I argued, 'assumes that fiscal & monetary tightening will restore investor confidence, but ignores the tightening of global liquidity conditions'.
