The first "social bot" mentioned in the paper is @cj_panirman. I can't find any traces of automation in this account. He tweets in English and Indonesian, probably lives in ths U.S., seems to like Donald Trump, and seems to be opposed to immigration.
The other "social bot", @natespuewell, appears to be alive and human to me as well, tweets in English, but really doesn't seem to like Donald Trump.

Die beiden “Bots” haben die Autoren des neuen Artikels (offenkundig unbesehen) aus einem Artikel von 2016 übernommen, an dem Emilio Ferrara, einer der Erfinder des Social-Bot-Märchens als Co-Autor mitgewirkt hat. Die Erkennung basiert offenbar auf “BotOrNot” (=“Botometer”).
