I'm going to get into this in a lot more detail in the future, but pouring over the data, there's something very big everyone seems to be missing.

If Bernie Sanders only had more courage, and didn't move with the masses. But Rich, he's so authentic, right?

Here's what I mean.

After he won in 2016, Bernie Sanders initially said that he wanted to work with Donald Trump on issues with which the two agreed: trade, immigration, etc.

But Bernie caved to the Orange Man Bad Crew.

Now, he's got a horrible deficit among older voters, outside of metro areas.

It's not that these voters are supporting Joe Biden, because they're not.

These are voters who backed Bernie Sanders in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, and now turnout in these areas is underwhelming, which drives Biden's advantage with older voters.

That's because...

That's because they have nobody on the left speaking for them anymore. In 2016, Bernie Sanders made sense to them.

They wouldn't, couldn't and didn't vote for Hillary Clinton. They either didn't vote, or voted for Donald Trump.

He needs them. But now they're on the Trump Train.

There are two major factors causing the vote differential from Bernie 2016 to Bernie 2020.

First, is the presence of Elizabeth Warren in the progressive lane. Second, is the lack of presence of these voters in the Democratic electorate.

They've both clearly, cost him dearly.
