So MSNBC, The New York Times, & the Washington Post are directing our national conversation. I don’t think I know anyone like @BWilliams, @MaraGay & @MekitaRivas in our podcasting movement.

We all make dumb mistakes. But this propagated frictionlessly within a staffed news room.
Simple question: why are we getting our news from this class of people?

How can a @BWilliams comment on an @AndrewYang? Why are we listening to @MaraGay rather than @naval? Why is @MekitaRivas doing with a @washingtonpost byline when @3blue1brown is working via YouTube?
Just to say it straight: there is now FAR more intelligence away from the authoritative sources than within them. The traditional institutions are simply intellectually falling apart. There is much better stuff available on YouTube and in podcasting than in any corporate media.

Triage Talk: When your government and other leaders have not secured sufficient resources, you will be triaged to cover this error.

Without being in any way sensationalist, that means some of us will die who could have been saved.

It's time to learn that this is done via codes:
There are many different triage systems out there. They all count on us not understanding the language or the structure of the decision tree.

You might, for example, think that 'expectant' meant expecting care rather than expecting death.

#FlattenTheCurve = #MinimizeTheTriage
What we need to do is to:

A) Offer help to our emergency response teams to secure scarce resources on emergency footing.

B) Push our leaders to secure MUCH better answers by not being the passive participants in Triage. Find out how it works. Ask: "What is the decision tree?"

If you‘re a techie, geek, STEM PhD, coder, patent holder, etc. ask your self: Is my phone ringing? Why not?

Government doesn’t call up all of our most disruptive people for a reason: they‘re unlikely to get along w/ the way things are currently running.

If you want to get things done rapidly you need your disagreeable people. The very people who don’t get along...and never got along!...with this ludicrous system are the people you want to take matters into their own hands, self organize and get things done. Yet that is heresy.
I called for a rogue Manhattan Project last crisis too. Happy to talk about what scuttles this from happening.

It’s long past time to bring the disagreeable in from the cold & to seat them in institutions to keep those structures honest & reality based:

You can’t tell people they aren’t allowed to go out for food, medicine & basic supplies until you have a system in place to distribute those.

And to answer your question, it is because I live on my civil liberties even as I’m willing to give up the *minimal* in true emergencies.
I don’t know if we‘re headed there of course. But look how far minds have mentally come from 2 weeks ago. It is now *not* far fetched to imagine martial law within a month. Two more weeks of the same pace of change would get you there.

California is expected to stay home. Think.
Lastly it’s not driving a police state narrative. Honestly, this level of interaction is exhausting.

Think. Look. Your old world of a month ago doesn’t exist. This isn’t Dec 2019 anymore.
