Tom Hanks, being a basically decent but beloved celebrity, is a hug part of QAnon's imagined"pedogate" cabal. Their cult cannot imagine decency as something that exists outside of itself, so they hate him especially.

Do they believe the novel coronavirus is a hoax, a punishment from God, a bioweapon engineered to hurt the country, or one controlled by "patriots" to bring down its enemies?

Kind of all of the above at once, as needed.

They have been believing in an all-powerful "positive" conspiracy for years with no actual results. I mean, Epstein was arrested and Harvey Weinstein just got sentenced, but those things happened in the real actual criminal justice system.

Don't get me wrong, they claim both of those things! And any time the FBI or anyone else takes down a real actual child porn ring, or someone gets busted for trafficking, that's part of "the storm", too. Even though it doesn't match their prophecied vision of a global sweep.

So how do they cope with the lack of results even while they chant about trusting the plan and being in the control? They assume that results are happening but being hidden.

Hence this reference to military tribunals.

According to Q mythology, every celebrity who's not a Trumper is both constantly about to be arrested and also already has been arrested by secret police, taken to Guantanamo Bay, charged under a military tribunal, and then released so as not to spook the others.

But also while they're doing this elaborate catch-and-release facade to avoid spooking the targets, Trump and the right-wing media and God are also constantly sending warnings to rattle the cages and let the targets (who have already been arrested) that arrest is imminent.

I just want to emphasize in case it's not clear: QAnon imagines a world where there are all-powerful secret police who can arrest you, subject you to a secret military trial, break you, let you go, and then kill you later, exactly like the party in 1984.

They pray for this.

This is their idea of The Good Guys - secret police, military tribunals, and death squads. At its core it's a power fantasy, and a revenge fantasy, though revenge for what is kind of nebulous. Revenge for a world that doesn't make sense to them.

The logic they operate under is so circular that they regularly taunt celebrities on here they are convinced are satanic cannibalistic pedophiles targeted for "the storm" about their supposed imminent arrest - even when they think those celebrities were already caught.

E.g., when Hillary Clinton had a walking cast on her foot, that was "to hide the ankle monitor" because of course she was the first one to be taken to Guantanamo. And yet she's still free and they believe she was able to kill Epstein through Trump's Department of Justice.
