Something is weirdly off. Zero percent interest rates?? So many National Guard?? I agree things are bad & we look unprepared, but It all seems too extreme yet not extreme enough at the same time.

Think how unthinkable what already happened would have been in 2019. Now assume unthinkability keeps going.

I remember in the 2008 crisis, there was pressure not to say “Maybe Goldman & AIG are set to fail.” To say that one day made you into a crazy catastrophizer. So only a few of us said it. Days later, all the folks who made fun of us, were talking as if they‘d always thought that.
I’m thinking something significant is up. The response is too much & too little. “Is there a *major* announcement coming from the fed and/or military?” is the right question. We should be able to ask w/o stigma. We obviously can’t all shelter in place if no one manages supplies.
