Just chatting to @PeterKGeoghegan and we're both struck. Ireland is *another planet* to the UK right now. Irish people consume both Irish and British media.

It's an absolute mess. I literally have no idea what the UK policy is, or what they are trying to tell their people. Their advisor admitted today *on national television* that they got their projections wrong by a week. A WEEK. That's a HUGE story.
And the politicians giving us all the advice: many of us just voted against them. But we still get that this is a bigger thing than that.
Irish TV right now: business person / restaurant owner praising social welfare officials working through the weekend.
It's like a whole other level of urgency and solidarity.
