There’s a good chance this becomes a mental health crisis before it’s a physical health crisis. Lots of lonely adults and children who depend on schools, restaurants, stores, for their only social interactions. Not to mention the legit economic stress this is causing.
It’s one thing to have your social life or vacation disrupted. And 2 weeks doesn’t sounds long. But it’s interminable for isolated kids and adults, especially devastating for the elderly. Hospital beds, we got. Enough people to help stem a potential mental health crisis? No.
