So you know:

The phrase “dismissed with prejudice” is being used about the troll farm case dropped this week.

This is a term with legal meaning.

Dismissed with prejudice means it CAN NOT be refiled.

Dismissed without prejudice means it COULD be refiled in the future (subject to the statute of limitations.)

If the court order does not say one way or the other, the default is that it is dismissed without prejudice.

The “with” or “without” relates to whether there is a prohibition (prejudice) to refile or not refile. It really means:

a. dismissed with prejudice to refile, or

b. dismissed without prejudice to refile.

2. He’s been saying things to try to reassure people all along, so why are you asking him this? Especially as they’ve brayed that his earlier efforts were minimizing the threat. You (media) reap what you sow.

So I think his reaction was understandable. That being said, I would have rather that he just answer the question.

This is something I teach clients to prep for cross-examination: IGNORE the tone of the question. Focus on the information the question seeks. /3

Predictions:

1. The malaria drug will work great & ease the medical system emergency.
2. The outbreak will still be really bad in some places & overstress our medical systems there.
3. The quarantines & social distancing will work to tamp down transmission.

4. Our domestic companies will pivot to ramp up & produce the supplies - medical, food, cleaning, etc. that we need.
5. The quarantines will be shorter than some fear.
6. The need for social distancing may be longer than anticipated.

7. Our researches will develop a vaccine faster than ever before.
8. Until they do, there will be areas of the country - probably rolling- where more extreme measures may still be needed to address outbreaks.
9. The economic measures the govt is implementing now will work.

AUSA in the District of Columbia starting in 2000. Her bio s says she tried more than 30 "jury and bench trials". I'd like to see the breakdown of the two.
In 2006 she left DOJ to join Wilmer Hale as a partner. In 2009 she returned to DOJ to serve as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legal Counsel under Eric Holder at the start of the Obama Admin.
She remained in that post for 2 years, so she helped re-write DOJ policies and settle legal disputes within the Gov't at the outset of the Obama Admin.
In 2011 she returned to Wilmer Hale.
Mueller joined Wilmer Hale in 2013.

The dismissal with prejudice of the entire Troll Farm case brought by Mueller's team destroys the credibility of that entire operation -- they are now exposed for the pure political operation that they always were.
I wrote at the time that the indictment they obtained--which they wrote -- from the GJ was a "press release" and not a bona fide charging document because 80% was unnecessary to the charges they brought. They wrote it that way because they NEVER expected any defendant to appear.
The NEVER expected that competent counsel would take up the defense and force them to provide discovery of the allegations, or that they would ever be put to the burden of having to prove with admissible evidence the wild allegations of criminal conspiracy they described.

Mueller prosecutors claimed Flynn & Rafiekian's Turkish lobbying was done "on behalf of the Turkish gov't".
