1) SARS-CoV-2 is the official name. Covid-19 is the disease caused by the virus.

2) Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses - including those that result in the diseases MERs & SARs. Also included is the new strain SARS-CoV-2 (aka Wuhan/China virus) which results in Covid-19
3) CDC routinely acknowledges geographic viral origin via name:

Zika Virus, Ebola Virus (species Zaire ebolavirus), Sudan Virus (species Sudan ebolavirus), West Nile Virus, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), Lyme Disease..

4) Nobody thinks Chinese-Americans are to blame
5) Curious why this is such an important issue for you when it's clear the Chinese Communist Party contributed hugely to the current crisis.
6) Per the NSC:

"The Chinese Communist Party suppressed initial reports on the Chinese Virus and punished doctors and journalists, causing Chinese and international experts to miss critical opportunities to prevent a global pandemic."
8) You have focused almost exclusively on Russia while utterly ignoring the far greater risk from China.

China - 2nd largest economy in the world. Nominal GDP of $14.2 trillion.
Russia - 11th largest economy in the world. Nominal GDP of $1.6 trillion.

Seems rather strange...
9) How about you quit the nonsensical partisan tweets and get to work helping our country in a time of real crisis?

I would assume this would apply to Congressmen as well.

Even if it does not, the material, non-public rule applies.
When did your committee begin receiving briefings on the Virus - and did the information go beyond what was public?

The U.S. has far more critical care beds per capita at 34.7/100,000

Italy stands at 12.5/100,000

Italy edges out US on total hospital beds/capita at 3.4 to 2.9 per 1K - but this does not indicate ability of service and appears a less meaningful number.

The European Union not looking all that EU-ish at the moment
In times of crisis nations often rediscover their identities.

My guess is this bodes poorly for an EU that is already under serious - and well-deserved - pressure.

Creating a common currency amongst highly disparate economies was always a fools errand.
The EU is forced to give greater monetary policy weight to the economic powerhouse of Germany

This creates a situation of perpetual interest rate imbalance

Interest rates will be too low in countries where wages are rising and too high in countries where unemployment is rising

You get it when it gets into your eyes, your nose or your mouth. So it seems pretty obvious that a mask should stop those saliva droplets from getting into your face, right? Well, not so fast.Those droplets are heavy. They don't go very far, probably not more than 6 feet.
That means you need to be standing right near someone coughing into your face to get infected directly by the droplets. If you live in the same household as someone who has been diagnosed with #COVIDー19,
the disease caused by the virus, that's a real risk.

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that range from those commonly found in human hosts, such as the common cold to the millions of yet undiscovered mutations found in animal hosts. When they make the jump to humans they become zootonic
While scientist have found a significant match in bats via genome sequencing, they suspect an intermediary animal before it made the jump to human hosts. The clock is ticking to find this animal as the source could still be in the supply chain.

Four #HCoVs – OC43, 229E, HKU1 & NL63 – cause mild ‘common cold-like’ illness. All of us have probably been infected with one or more of these at some time. These 4 #HCoVs only occasionally cause serious illness 2/n
The other 2 #HCoVs – #SARS & #MERS – cause severe disease. #SARS emerged in 2012 & infected about 8000 people worldwide with a case fatality rate (CFR) of about 10%. The #SARS outbreak was ultimately controlled with good infection prevention & control procedures 3/n
