How is this not getting torn to pieces as a dangerous and outrageous idea
Trying to imagine how the media would have reacted if then candidate Romney had held counter briefings during Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and publicly questioned guidance the American people were given to survive a crisis.
Obvious that Biden saw Trump was getting good marks for his handling of the crisis and thought he needed to cut into that.

Best case scenario for Biden is people stop trusting the White House where experts are telling the country how to stop the spread

The Ramirez/Kavanaugh story completely fell apart under scrutiny and the reporters who wrote it despite embarrassing sourcing took major reputations hits.

That it still somehow found it’s way into a book with even the slightest editing and scrutiny is shocking.
Flashback: here are some reasons why it fell apart.

It took 6 days of coaching with a Democratic lawyer for Ramirez to come up with the story the New Yorker ran. Imagine what they can come up with for a book they’ve worked on for a year.

The FBI talked to Ramirez, followed what they could find credible, but likely found what Ronan Farrow found— one of the main pushers of Ramirez’s story had only ever heard it secondhand... from someone who has no memory of it.

Nonsensical hearsay.

A 27 year old doctoral candidate from Northwestern University - scientists at Exxon knew 40 years ago fossil fuels would destabilize the planet. Their trade/industry orgs have waged a decades long campaign of lying to public about the science and now it threatens the human race.
Biden signed no fossil fuel money pledge,but "how can Biden be trusted to hold them accountable for crimes against humanity when tomorrow you are holding a high dollar fundraiser hosted by Andrew Goldman a fossil fuel executive"
Biden immediately says he is not. Andrew Goldman provides Canadian gas to parts of Asia as head of Western LNG.
