IT'S A THREAD

@RahulGandhi was the first person who has time and again warned us about the catastrophic consequences that our country and it's economy could face due to #Covid19India even before it occurred, and now we are actually going through it. 1/11
Rather than announcing a comprehensive stimulus package in this hour of emergency, like the leaders of other countries did, @PMOIndia is simply fooling around as usual, not realizing the gravity of the situation. 2/11
Asking people to clap hands/bang utensils is not a solution to #Covid19India and other innumerable problems our country is going through. But, @narendramodi never misses an opportunity to carry out publicity stunt even in a situation as grave as the #COVID19 pandemic. 3/11
He is simply fooling around with our people, diverting their attention from the real issues of the country and the shortcomings of his administration.

His inability to predict the consequences of his ridiculous announcement has caused a lot of disruption in the society...4/11
When will he realise that the country is in a dire need of a stimulus package to provide relief to various organized/unorganized sectors which are being terribly affected by #COVID19 outbreak. Businesses are down, MSME's are suffering, daily wage earners, labourers...5/11
MNREGA workers are weeping and our agricultural sector which was initially facing trouble due to the untimely rain/hailstorm is now the most affected due to #COVID19 which added more trouble to their already troubled situation. 6/11
A broad based social protection measure including direct cash financial help to these sectors could provide them relief.

Showing gratitude to our docs/nurses are fine but is @PMOIndia addressing the issue of the shortage of isolation chambers, ventilators, hospital beds..7/11
...for patients and providing enough N95 masks/gloves/disposable gowns for medical teams in various medical centres across the country?

Is he doing anything to expand the #COVID19 testing and contact tracing? Is is being done enough? 8/11
@RahulGandhi warned us about the disastrous situation we are going through at the moment, long time back. He tweeted many a times about the upcoming issue followed by #COVID19outbreak and even showed his concern towards the issue in his press conferences...9/11
But the ruling dispensation didn't take his warnings with seriousness and ridiculed him as always. But guess who was right? @RahulGandhi did his part as a leader/public servant but did the @PMOIndia did it's part? No!

Despite ample time, early warnings and...10/11
...lessons from other nations, he appeared to have under utilised the public/private sector capacities. This must change ASAP for the betterment of our own nation. 11/11
