1/ I spend 12+ hours a day immersed in Fox News and right-wing media (@mmfa team even more so). What Fox/rwm say influences big part of country as well as shapes Donald Trump's actions. Here's what they're saying right now now...
2/ i) Trump's travel restrictions from China back in January means he was ahead of everyone else. And, that that restriction means that USA is not comparable to others because started from different place. So comparison charts are not valid.
3/ ii) Trump found a treatment, so COVID-19 no longer gonna be as big a problem as feared, if it ever was going to be. (Some using this to go even further and attack Fauci, 'Trump was right, Fauci was wrong.')

4/ iii) A few days ago (and even more so now), Fox News/OANN/rwm began pushing idea that the "cure is worse than disease." (Trump soon started echoing). They cited flu and car accident deaths to say we don't shut down economy then, shouldn't now.
5/ iv) Now starts getting extra racist: Some (e.g. Tucker, Fox News, etc) are warning that they (Democrats) will use these shut downs, "resettling refugees" and "dropping outsiders, foreign nationals" into your neighborhoods. So Trump's gotta end restrictions before that happens
6/ In summary, Fox/rwm is back to essentially same place they were 3 weeks ago, just wearing slightly different costume: Trump is right, experts are wrong. COVID-19 won't be big problem for USA cuz of medicine and weather. Dems/media don't care about economy. Beware immigrants
