When daily deaths in Italy went down from 700+ to 600+ over a 24-hour period, Deborah Birx immediately told America there were signs Italy's outbreak was "declining." Now that deaths in Italy are 900+ daily, will she recant, or does she just give us rosy lies daily like her boss?
At the federal level we're being fed rosy *bullshit* daily, and I'm sick of it. If being an expert who stands beside Trump daily also means peddling the lies, omissions, misdirections, historical revisions, and blame-games he does, *get off the stage* and start telling the truth.
Tonight America will break the *100,000 infection mark*, and people are going to start getting really, *really* pissed about the grandstanding, self-aggrandizing, politicking *circus* we see from Trump and his crew daily. It's time for real experts to excise themselves from that.
I mean *how many days in a row* did we have to hear about those damn medical ships from Trump? They each have 1,000 beds *maximum*—and at the time Trump was trumpeting them, New York City *alone* was telling America that it was *90,000 beds short*. It's fecking ridiculous. Jesus!
For Christ's sake, *look*! Here's an actual medical expert (Deborah Birx) telling America that Trump is uniquely *attentive* to science and data, even as all America sees daily with its own eyes that the man is a *moron* about 50,000 leagues over his head.
