if being willing to look crazy is the cost of telling the truth, at times, and you straight-up say that you aren't willing to pay that cost... why should we trust you, again?
coronavirus twitter is wild, people out here posting that a couple of months ago they were sincerely concerned that millions of people could die, that their home communities could suffer like Wuhan, but they didn't say anything because... they might get mocked?
if your experience rounds to, "the social pressure against ~alarmism~ prevented me from expressing my sincere, genuine concerns about an impending pandemic," something about you and/or your social environment is deeply, DEEPLY sick
