#wmata projects: "Passenger service on the Silver Line extension is projected to start in the last quarter of FY21"

That'd be April-June 2021.
Most obvious slide title of all tine?

"Service Enhancements Were Popular while Reductions
Were Unpopular"

Bus Riders Tell #WMATA They Don't Want Fewer Buses
Here are the #wmata Metrobus cuts still being moved forward by the Board. Metro says cuts were pared back from $26M to $7.6M after rider feedback.
The summary of #wmata Metrorail changes in the FY2021 budget. Some extra hours & more trains on Sundays, but fewer trains 5-6am weekdays (while still w/peak fares).
#wmata proposed FY2021 fare changes:

* Extra fee for cash bus fares removed
* Base rail fare up $.10 to $2.35
* Max peak fare from $6 -> $6.50
* $2 weekend flat rail fare
*$.50 -> $1 rail/bus transfer discount
* $15 -> $12 weekly bus pass
These are the bus routes which #wmata says will have more service, if the FY2021 budget passes as-is.
Overall, #wmata thinks they're going to need to spend $38M more next year to run service, but will only take in $4M extra in fares/parking fees/other revenue.
Throwback to this thread, from when #wmata published their first draft FY21 budget. Weekend flat fare was one of the largest revenue drops ($11M) estimated to gain 1.3M weekend trips.
The #wmata Board is reserving the right to revisit the FY2021 budget before it goes into effect July 1 to "consider the timing for the implementation of" weekend flat fares, the $1 bus/rail discount, and possibly other items.
Apparently Metrorail hours of service had never been codified by the Board until 2012.
