New nationwide data (sorry for the messy first graf). Optimistic take is that number of new cases per day has been relatively stable. For the last four days new cases have hovered around 20k, with a small upward trend. But that my be constrained by testing. For the last 5 ... 
2/ days total tests around the country have hovered a bit over 110k. Another question is how much these numbers and the trends are being driven by the outsized scale of the outbreak in New York. Here's cases and fatalities for New York and the rest of the USA outside New York.
3/ It's notable here that the number of tests has been pretty stable in New York going back more than a week. But the hit rate for those has gotten quite high. 75% on Saturday, 44% and 50% yesterday and today. This tracks with an increasing emphasis on only testing ...
