The #Aircraft market could be down now but it will begin to pick up as herd immunity & vaccines kick in . Acquiring @Embraer could give #India a domestic manufacturer for the UDAN project . Also the KC390 would be a readymade MTA for the @IAF_MCC .

There are market predictions which indicate #India will need more than 1000 short range airliners to serve a growing Tier 2&3 city airports by 2035 . At an average price of $50Mn today that's nearly $50Bn if we import these jets.
Sir @narendramodi ,this is a golden opportunity.

The @IAF_MCC will be retiring ~100 An-32 by 2035. These aircraft were supposed to be replaced by the Info Russian MTA which got shelved.
The @embraer KC-390 is a perfect fit , at $55Mn/jet thats another $5.5Bn we can save in #import costs.

#India will need that $55Bn in aircraft over the coming 15 years . Whether we import them or we manufacture them in #India in @embraer factories that #India owns is what @PMOIndia @narendramodi needs to decide.

We need to act quickly , break a few rules if need be . @embraer can be turned into a subsidiary of @HALHQBLR giving HAL the substantial marketing & sales muscle of Embraer. This JV can build jobs in India & Brazil with @embraer building the LCA for the Latin American market.

India keeps getting opportunities like these & we keep handing them over on a platter to China. Please Sir @narendramodi , please let us win this time.

I have little hopes though, I had tweeted something similar when @bombardierjets put their CRJ production line up for sale in 2019. It was finally sold to Mitsubishi for $550Mn .
We lost that opportunity ,let's not lose it again.

@embraer has begun marketing their latest #Aircraft in #India & are looking to #India as a key market.
A key constraint is familiarity, airlines in #India being more relaxed with North American & European firms.
Domestic production could change that.

Good point there, no they won't. That said they were selling an 80% stake to @boeing for $4.2Bn , the financial troubles with boeing have ended that. Now @embraer is looking for new suitors. #India will have to fight off China here.

This deal if it happens will be beneficial for #Brazil as well as #India .
@embraer gets a home market many multiples the size of Brazil immediately boosting revenues & viability .
India gets #aircraft technology & access to the Latin American airforce market for the LCA .
