The previous tweet reminds me of this video I saw a couple of days ago.
This purports to be recruitment for the Wagner Group inside a jail. It's said they promise an amnesty after six months of war, regardless of the charge.
Morning in occupied #NovayaKakhovka enabled us to see the full devastation following #Ukraine's hit on a military base. It's claimed 40 fuel tankers and numerous weapons/ammo were destroyed in the incredible fireworks display.
Another case of accuse others of what #Russia does itself. Two days after destroying a humanitarian aid centre, they claim #Ukraine's strike on a military base did the same there.
The occupiers then have the temerity...
2/2
...to say it was devastating for the town "since no one receives either pensions or wages."
Russia occupied #NovayaKakhovka over 4 months ago - why is there still no pension/wages?
Photo shows some of the collateral damage caused by secondary explosions from the ammo dump.
Just another of #Russia's senior officer meeting his end.
Captain Anton Shmelev, Commander of the howitzer artillery battery, 228 regiment Yekaterinburg.
Another one bites the dust!
Traitor Colonel Oleskiy Avramchenko completed his military education and service in #Ukraine including on #Crimea, where he chose to join Russia.
He was one of those to take down the🇺🇦flag.
Today news of his death in battle #SlavaUkraini#StopRussiaNOW
More trouble for #Russia in the occupied territories reported.
In #Enerhodar, twice in the early hours this morning, small drones dropped bombs on the former #Ukraine Intelligence office (SBU), now a base for Russians.
For example there appears to be no allowance for the strike on Russian bases in Kherson oblast in the counter attack. Reasons? 1) No.of victims unknown 2) Wagner (not RU army) troops 3) Not true
I've had a tip off, that I cannot yet corroborate, that "around 50 buses full of Russian troops" have arrived in the city this morning.
There have been strong rumours of conscripts in #Crimea about to be sent to mainland #Ukraine
Still in #Kherson news of a successful operation by #Ukraine's military.
Awaiting verification (photos etc) of this too, but reports say they've freed 5 Ukrainians who were being held captive by Occupiers.
1 soldier, 1 ex-police officer and 3 civilians; one is badly wounded
Two fires in quick succession in #Krasnodar have raised my eyebrows. On the face of it neither seems unduly suspicious, but the proximity in time and distance makes it noteworthy.
First this warehouse fire in the village of Prigorodny blazed for 4 hours.
#Ukraine's Intelligence has cracked a scheme to export silver bars and money from #Russia to #Ukraine. They allege the cash (over $3m) was then used for "subversive activities"
I've replied to a few people about the Russia claim of 90 deaths in #NovayaKakhovka.
Such was the destruction, I'm sure there were deaths, maybe even 90. But many may be due to #Russia's MLRS etc firing off ammo adjacent populated areas.
#ChasivYar - the death toll is now at 41
Russian missiles struck a 5-storey residential block on Sunday. The village is near #Bakhmut in the free part of #Donetsk oblast.
There's a new video on the state Facebook page below.
Occupiers say the Head of North Ossetia, was NOT injured in #Ukraine.
Sergei Menyailo did come under fire in #Zaporizhzhia but the rockets whistled overhead according to the report. "He was not injured, but slightly shaken"
Still plenty of missile strikes, rocket attacks across the frontline but the general feeling is that there's been a slight lull on the Russian side the last couple of days.
This is backed up by the British view this morning. Antiquated machinery and no movement in 72 hours.
One person seizing the moment and having a "good war" is President Tokayev of #Kazakhstan.
Today he's told the Kazakh government to "create conditions for the relocation of foreign companies that have left the Russian market."
A further sign of the growing division with #Russia
I've documented everything since I was in Kyiv just before the invasion.
All for free. No Substack, no subscription.
But it takes a lot of time, research, calls. If you want to buy me a coffee🙏 ko-fi.com/twmcltd
More depressing news to report first.
The death toll in the #ChasivYar massacre now stands at 47.
A residential block near #Bakhmut in #Donetsk region was struck by a Russian missile at the weekend and rescuers have been painstakingly removing rubble ever since.
Quite a detailed report from Britain's Intelligence this morning. All stuff covered here in this thread previously, which shows I'm doing something right!
This is a fight for freedom in Europe against tyranny and oppression.
The 138th daily thread on #Russia's war of choice starts here.
Real signs in the last few days that #Ukraine has levelled the playing (combat) field with the arrival of long range artillery.
Even as I type rockets seem to be landing in Russian held territory. Read on...⬇️
Just 2 hours ago, at the end of yesterday's thread, I reported on explosions again in occupied #NovayaKakhovka where #Russia suffered heavy losses earlier on Sunday.
Now reports of more rockets landing in #Kherson. Yesterday evening #Ukraine pledged to regain land in the south.
1/2 Now a puzzle for you.. Just what is being transported on trains in huge quantities through #Russia?
Missiles/rockets? Logs? Rolled sheet metal? All suggested so far.
Great work @CarolynnePries1 to capture these from a webcam.
This is Uzlovaya, about 230km south of Moscow
The 137th day of #PutinsWar is underway and already more rockets and missiles are flying.
This is the start of Sunday's thread with all the news throughout the day from #Ukraine and beyond, as #Russia continues its destructive invasion of its neighbour.
#Luhansk region is where we start today, with news of a likely #Ukraine attack.
Among data published regularly by #Kyiv is children affected by #PutinsWar.
The number of kids known to have been killed or injured by Russia will reach 1,000 within a week, while many more deaths remain hidden in occupied cities like #Mairupol'
