The good news is Friday has begun fairly quietly. This is in line with the general trend of fewer missiles being fired by #Russia, likely indicating some "rationing" of diminishing stocks.
They won't run out soon, but cannot replace as quickly as they were firing.
Something else the Kremlin is losing rapidly is soldiers.
Another 400 Russian troops dead in the last 24 hours according to #Ukraine's estimates, way above average and taking the total toll to over 46,000.
Even if exaggerated, the trend is the same. Cannon fodder dying en masse
Britain's Ministry of Defence has so much info today!
Six generals fired. Misinformation from #Russia (you think so?!).
Also, they write of "collateral damage" regarding the #Chaplyne massacre - perhaps indicating there may have been a "military target"?
As one of my followers yesterday wrote (sorry I forgot who), there are no "legitimate military targets" for #Russia as the whole war is totally illegal.
DMs open for tip-offs, I try to answer all questions, but apologies if I miss some, they don't always show up in "mentions"
After a slight movement of the frontline a while ago, things have remained pretty static the last few days.
#Russia keep reporting gains in #Kharkiv + #Zaporizhzhia oblasts, but there is nothing to back up these claims. It's a huge frontline to attack & defend simultaneously
Today an astonishing story from the brilliant @bellingcat team of how a Russian agent infiltrated NATO in Italy.
Brothers Haluk and Selçuk Bayraktar are behind the now famous drones. In a rare interview with the BBC's Russian service they ruled out dealing with #Russia. "Our support is on the side of #Ukraine"
#Lithuania contemplates making entry to the country for Russians dependent on their attitude to #Crimea
#Russia's Dep Ambassador in Vilnius suggests they quiz Lithuanians about "unconstitutional" events in 1991 when leaving USSR🤡
In what's a largely symbolic move, a PR stunt, #Ukraine has named The Head of #Chechnya, Ramzan Kadryov as a formal suspect in its war crimes investigation.
Love to see live coverage on TikTok - may even get an account 😂
In all the bridge drama, forgot to mention the more encouraging news from the #Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant. The power station in occupied #Enerhodar is now back on-line.
#Ukraine is preparing to evacuate other areas of the country near the frontline.
Deputy PM Iryna Vereshchuk hinted parts of #Kharkiv#Zaporizhzhia and #Mykolaiv will be subject to mandatory evacuation as has only been enforced in #Donetsk thus far.
The new footage shows with remarkable clarity how #Ukraine patriots blew up a car carrying traitor Askyar Laishev, who switched to #Russia's side at the start of the original invasion 8 years ago.
The explosion was on 11 August on Shevchenko street in occupied #Starobilsk.
News is leaking out in #Russia of the first "prisoner conscripts" to come home in body bags.
44 year old Yevgeny Yeremenko was sentenced to 10 years in jail just a couple of years ago. He exchanged his sentence for a death sentence in #Ukraine.
🇺🇦Happy 31st birthday #Ukraine🇺🇦
It's Independence Day, but it also marks exactly 6 months since #Russia's jets, tanks + troops invaded the country (8 years after the start of the war)
This is daily thread number 182. All the news all the time
Yesterday, the thread was interrupted by @TwitterSupport banning me for 12 hours and their Execs refusing to reply to requests. Thanks to those who tried to help but the whole system is crazy
So what was my "crime"?
Errr.. I wrote about this story which is all over Twitter and international media.
It may have been Kremlin trolls, but I was almost instantly banned when mocking the FSB's videos.
Apparently I released "intimate details". WTF??
When @TwitterSupport's arbitrary ban expires you have two options.
Only at that point can you dispute Twitter's ban.
If you challenge the reason for the ban you stay banned for two weeks while they "investigate"
If you accept your tweet was wrong it's deleted and you're "free"
Right now #Kharkiv is under attack again. It's been almost incessant for two days now on #Ukraine's second city.
Looks like the city centre is again within range of #Russia's rocket launchers. Reports of 8 missiles fired at the Aviation Uni and the adjacent airfield.
1/2 One of #Russia's most high profile politician's has survived an assassination attempt which killed his daughter.
30 year old Dariya Dugina died when the car she was in exploded. Her father Aleksandr Dugin, sometimes called 'Putin's brain', is seen as a far right extremist
Aleksandr Dugin has previously called for Russia to control from Dublin to Vladivostok.
He was the target of the car bomb. Dugin reportedly switched vehicles at the last moment and was following his daughter when her Toyota exploded.
