Each of the last two days #Ukraine officials have claimed "up to 200" Russian soldiers killed in a single incident. But neither of the daily death totals shows 200 in total.

Depleted #Russia's army takes another step towards mobilisation and admitting it is at war

The govt passes a new law which toughens penalties "if" mobilisation is announced.
Desertion is one crime included and the words "mobilisation", "martial law" & "wartime" appear in law.

Part occupied #Kherson and #Zaporizhzhia regions join the rush to try to hold sham referenda. With #Ukraine making advances and the invaders likely to be forced back east of the river in the coming month it's no surprise.

This morning explosions and gunfire were heard in #Sevastopol, the major city on occupied #Crimea.

This was reported by an independent (non Ukraine) journalist, yet there is not a word printed in any pro-Russia media.

Well here it is... McDonald's sells its first meal in #Kyiv since the illegal #Russia invasion almost 7 months ago.

No dine-in available yet and only three locations are trading so far.

Within 20 minutes of reopening there were no delivery drivers/orders available.

More shelling of various areas of #Dnipropetrovsk + #Zaporizhzhia this morning

There are legitimate complaints from those living near #Nikopol why #Ukraine is not taking out enemy firing sites which they can see across the water.

In ZP, injuries after shelling in #Stepnohirsk.

Also no word from the Occupiers about explosions heard again in #Melitopol this morning.

It's beginning to look difficult for #Russia to get enough equipment and troops to adequately protect this town as well as much of #Kherson region north and west of the river Dnipro

The so called Head of "#Donetsk republic" says "public executions of foreign mercenaries will not be carried out"

Denis Pushilin is still saying he will carry out death sentences against those "convicted" by the kangaroo court, though I doubt it will happen to foreigners.

#Russia's channels are reporting winning the "battle for Pravdyne"

It's a small village near the northern state border of #Kherson region where it meets #Mykolaiv.

Bloggers claim after 2 days of fighting #Ukraine's troops were forced back.

Of course no panic for the Russians in #Luhansk though. With confirmed advances by #Ukraine's army towards #Lysychansk and #Severodonetsk, it comes as no surprise that the rush for a shame referendum cannot wait and will be held within a week,

The Occupiers in #Kherson remain twitchy.

They've kidnapped 54 year old journalist Zhanna Kiselyova from her home in #Kakhovka. Her friend Iryna Razumey was also abducted.

Also, in Chornobayivka, it's reported 🇷🇺FSB agents tortured a man and his wife before carting the man off.

#Sloviansk has been hit again by a missile from #Russia's troops.

This time a furniture shop was destroyed.

Governor Vadim Lyakh says again an anti-air S-300 missile was used, but there were no casualties.

He's likely to outline the host of planned sham referenda in Occupied parts of #Ukraine.

Moscow has just announced it is to ban trading the British pound in its exchanges from 3 October

Meanwhile #Russia's stock market saw the value of shares fall almost 9% today. That's the biggest daily drop since the invasion of #Ukraine almost 7 months ago.

There is a real fear on chat sites he IS about to announce general mobilisation. Actually I doubt it just yet,

New strikes by #Russia in #Zaporizhzhia tonight.
They would have been timed perfectly with Pukin's speech (sorry, Putin), but the little man is over an hour late.

The villages of Hrihorivka, Vasylivka, Richne and Komyshuvakha have all been hit by rockets.
