"BERNIE! Not Hillary!" (I heard that!) #DemPlatform Unity amendment passes unanimously. Truth: we would not even be close without Bernie.
Holy Smokes! Whomever retweeted this from the past *might* be talking to ghosts. I'm just putting that out there.

That was the day that my mother died - though I didn't find out about her death until later. Did anyone else watch that Unity Conference online?
*The Unity® agreement they have ignored since? Ha!

Bernie endorsed Hillary about one month before that. At that time, I had quit watching Bernie-rallies every night, to study Trump-rallies instead. (It was hellish/he was plagiarizing Bernie/ugh...)
So by July, Democrats were pushing that 'fully-unified front' when the facts on the ground did not align with the narrative. Her numbers were tanking. That trend wasn't reversing. For me it felt like an apocalypse...

I was never going to see my mother again if Trump won.
I made it all the way through to THAT unity conference; and they were just about to vote on The Unity® (which we haven't seen since). My 'job' (self-appointed/unpaid) was to give that a try, for Bernie's sake.

I knew we had to get other Berners to sign on, angry or not.
But that sinking feeling in my gut was rapidly getting worse. It was not going away. Something was wrong. While watching that live stream, someone opened a door - and a voice pierced the silence from out in the hall:

"Bernie!!! Not Hillary!" she said.
Watching from out here in Colorado, it was the first indication that there were protestors there, still trying to fight. I couldn't understand it at the time, because ... Bernie had endorsed her. It was over. We had to TRY to beat IQ45.

In hindsight, I understand it better.
That voice turned out to be like a 'call from the wild'- warning me to buckle my seatbelt. I did.

A few days later, while I was feeling pretty ill, someone saw my mom's obituary in the paper. They called me. I had a bad dream, then drove 1000 miles without stopping to pee.
And that's how I found out that she wasn't really "getting better" like her family was telling me. Things like that happen to girls who have Trumpian step-dads.

Never underestimate the symbolic power that a single voice can carry, and then HOLD through the ages.
Tomorrow I'll look for a link, but they've probably dubbed the protester out.

*Beware of those who try to sweep reality under a rug, when we need to shake those rugs out, in front of everybody's face. Dirt shows up best in the bright light of day. 🎶 Ignore typo's, I'm zonked.
