I once forgot to make a phone screen call & the bro found my personal email address and sent a profanity laden tirade 6/
He said something along the lines of "tech lead my ass you don't know shit you stupid snowflake". This was at the height of gamer gate 7/
I freaked out. This guy tracked me down over a phone call. So I made everything on social media private, even took down my website 8/
Maybe it was an overreaction but I have two little kids, their safety, our safety is everything. I've opened up again, 9/
But the fear never leaves you. And you see other women getting the same treatment. The questioning of their abilities, the threats 10/
They might not seem the same but they are on the same fucking spectrum!Telling a woman author she didn't write a book is obviously wrong 11/
But, like, let's react the same way to the less obvious shit, okay? Please? Not to protect us weaklings but to stand up to the bullies. /fin
Realizing that I could easily say SO MUCH MORE don't even get me started on imposter syndrome. but for real, listen to women & support them
