Note on infrastructure. If you care about it, and every American should, bear in mind that only one major bill will pass in the next few years. If we pass something crappy, Congress won't circle back to pass something better anytime soon. So, set the bar high.
MoveOn and a slew of allies have been campaigning for a *good* infrastructure bill for a while now, in the Millions of Jobs Coalition. Follow its work at @RealJobsForAll.
Here are the groups in the Millions of Jobs Coalition—representing the full breadth of the progressive movement. Are you from a group not on the list? Join us. millionsofjobs.org/about/#coaliti…
Here's what the Millions of Jobs coalition stands for. First two principles:
1. Invest in creating millions of new jobs.
2. Prioritize public investment over corporate giveaways and selling off public goods.
"We simultaneously call on Congress to reject any false promises of a job and infrastructure plan centered on privatizing America." ... that's Trump's plan, btw.

Trump's likely to start his big infrastructure push later this month. He'll need Democratic votes to pass it. He'll say it's his plan or nothing. But that's BS. It's his plan now or an actually-good plan later.

What would a Democratic infrastructure plan look like? The kind we could push for once we retake power? Dems have an answer. Read about the Senate Dems plan: vox.com/policy-and-pol…
And the House Dems statement of principles on infrastructure, titled "Supporting efforts to enact a bold jobs and infrastructure package that benefits all Americans, not just billionaires":

There's a sharp contrast between the Democratic approach to infrastructure (hire people to fix & build things) and the GOP approach (steal from the public & give to the rich). And the Dem approach is way more popular.
Note: First is the Dream/CHIP/budget caps/etc deadline by Jan 19. After, we don't yet know whether an infrastructure heist will be GOP's big legislative priority—as McConnell wants—or whether they'll go for cuts to anti-poverty programs, as Ryan hopes. Be ready for either.
