Social media attention should go to the people that need it the most.

A Thread ⬇️
One month ago 15 of artists with a large following flew to Bangladesh to give their voice to the Rohingya, the people that survived the Myanmar genocide #LoveArmy
After 48 hours of mobilisation and the online participation of hundreds of artists, youtubers, footballers, and thousands of anonymous,

2 Million dollars were raised!

This thread will show all of the work we have done with the donations so far
When families arrive at the camp they all have many urgent needs.

We are giving the donations directly to the families so they can immediately go buy what they need the most 🤝♥️
This is our first center for kids!

Here 100 children can learn, play, create and dream everyday.

We want these places to be their bubbles of peace ♥️ #LoveArmy
Visit of our first kid center ♥️
Rohingya need stove to cook. Instead of importing the stoves we are paying Rohingya women to make them! They can then offer them to families in need

Results: donations go 100% to those women + they are proud to help other families ♥️💪 #LoveArmy
The cost of a stove like this is 6 dollars in Bangladesh.

In the “traditional” humanitarian system the 6 dollars would go to a supplier + costs of delivery

With our model 100% of the 6 dollars are going to the Rohingya women!

With no extra costs. #Bingo
Instead of making new water wells we are fixing broken ones that need a bit of maintenance

Once fixed each one can provide 10,000 liters of water per day and help 1000 people.

Total cost: 40 dollars per well.

Small cost. Massive impact ⚡️
They saw us fixing the water well so they came to help us clean

“On est ensemble” means “we are together” in french ♥️🇫🇷
A water well is fragile. And can break every 3/4 months.

We are teaching Rohingya how to fix those wells themselves

And giving them the material to do the water testings and maintenance 💪
Trash is a big issue in the camp and the situation could become dangerous for health.

We are starting a pilote project with 11 Rohingya that collect the trash and handle recycling for a small part of the camp

If it all works out this system could be scaled up fast 👍
Rohingya families often need medical support

We were lucky to meet Runa ♥️ an extraordinary humanitarian from Bangladesh

Her association « friendship » is specialized in medical.
Meet our first #LoveArmy clinic!

100% financed by you :)

It will be managed by the doctors of « friendship » who are doing a beautiful job in Bangladesh

Over a hundred Rohingya families will receive médical help everyday.
Visit of our first clinic!
This man was a teacher in Myanmar. His dream is to be able to work again.

We are starting the building of a second center of children, whose he will be responsible for 🤝♥️ #LoveArmy
Behind our work there are so many volunteers and discreet heroes. Here are some of them:

- Saïd from American Refugee Committee, we met in Somalia & he organized the Somalia mission with me 🇸🇴♥️

- Igor from Montenegro! One of the world’s expert on water!

- Moussa!
The heart of the Love Army model is to spend lots of time with the people we help

All of the decisions are being taken WITH THE PEOPLE

We listen to them until we truly understand their need. They are our boss. And we are here to serve.
Here in Bangladesh one million Rohingya are starting 2018 with no countries and no rights.

But this little relief mission of Love exists now thanks to you ♥️

We are sending love back your way 👊
AND OUR MISSION HERE IS JUST GETTING STARTED. Thank you.
