Source says Bannon did NOT invoke executive privilege but — like AG Sessions before him — said some of his conversations *could* implicate executive privilege.
Bannon used the same argument to avoid questions about the transition, which apparently puzzled some members since Trump wasn’t president then.
Rep. @DevinNunes CONFIRMS he issued the Bannon subpoena, telling reporters:
“Of course I authorized the subpoena. That’s how the rules work.”
