“Break the habit of uncontrolled thinking ie turning off the monkey mind and turn it on only if/ when I want it” @naval @farnamstreet /2
“I don’t have time is another way of saying that’s not my priority” @naval @farnamstreet /3

“I’ve also come to believe in the complete and utter insignificance of the self, one can be very happy as long as one isn’t too caught up in their own heads” @naval @farnamstreet /5
“Honesty just means I want to be free. Part of being free means that I can say what I think and think what I say. They’re highly congruent and integrated.” @naval @farnamstreet /6

. @naval hack for jealousy “the day I realised that all these folks I was jealous of, I couldn’t cherry-pick & choose little aspects of their good part, because their other parts are bad for me & that lead to realisation that there is no point in being jealous” @farnamstreet /13
Paraphrasing...You have a choice and can chose to play the external multi-player game for social acceptance (money, status, look good) but don’t confuse that with happiness or peace which is a single-player game @naval @farnamstreet /14
“The reality is life is a single-player game. You’re born alone. You’re doing to die alone. All of your interpretations are alone. All your memories are alone. You’re gone in 3 generations and nobody cares. Before you showed up, nodbody cared.” @naval @farnamstreet /15
“Only the individual transcends” @naval @farnamstreet /16
