I was driving in the far left lane East Bound down 15th street in Austin. This RV instantly switches lanes without checking. I honk! I honk again! I tried to hop the median curb to avoid him, but no luck. He hits me, so we pull over...
I agitatedly get out the car and utter “i need your license and insurance!” He replies back. “talk slower please I’m German” (this is when i knew we’d have problems). I repeat, “I neeeed youuuur liceeeense..” y’all get the point. He pulls out papers, but has no insurance.
I realize his license plate says Washington. He tells me he’s renting the RV and road tripping, he and his family are visiting from Germany for a week. His son and wife then hop out the vehicle. I’m outnumbered. He then says, “we should call the cops!”
👀👀 Cops.. I’m thinking, what we need cops for. You hit my car! Plus i don’t like calling the cops, so i tell him, “you call them.” He looks at me and says, “ok, What is the Number?” 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ i reply, “ya know what nevermind, let me call em”
The Cops show up, 3 of them, cool as heck. I was coming from a workout & looked moderately athletic so they recognized me instantly and began asking me how @TexasFootball would do this year 🤫, and also why i retired. ~PLOT TWIST~
The guy who crashed into my car then looks over and says, “wait your famous!? Can my son get a picture with you!” 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
I throw on a smile cuz i didn’t wear braces for 3 years for nothing! I take the picture. The driver profusely apologizes and offered me a Belgium waffle on him next time I’m in Germany, i get his info and i leave.
