But, let’s be clear: We don’t want to walk out. We don’t want to march in 100-degree heat. We’d rather be in our classrooms, teaching.
But, we are dedicated to our students; we care about them and their futures. We did not come to the decision lightly—it was something years of funding cuts forced us to do.
We at AEA are so proud of the work you’ve been done these past weeks and months. We will forever be grateful for the dedication and many sacrifices of Arizona’s educators, parents, #RedForEd volunteers, supporters, and community members.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for bringing us to this moment. And thank you for your continued work making the lives of Arizona’s students better.
