2. Some of Facebook's data was used by the Trump campaign, but only in the primaries. Obama's campaign used similar data from Facebook, this was met with generalized acclaim pointing to the sophistication of Obama's election machinery.
3. A professor at Cambridge University built an app around the information gathered from Facebook from information users agreed to share. Cambridge analytica later shared this information with the Trump campaign.
