FAO: 900 million poor people globally, half of them depend directly on livestock for their livelihoods (capital, income, traction, fertilization, milk/meat/eggs, leather/hides/skins).

Livestock contributes to major pathways out of poverty.
FAO: livestock contributes to food security worldwide, providing 33% of protein, combating micronutrients deficiencies (“hidden hunger”), and boosting crop productivity (manure, traction), ....
FAO: meat & dairy are important to nutrition and health, especially for children, pregnant women & the elderly. They can help reduce mortality among children and the newborn, providing micronutrients that are difficult to obtain in adequate quantities from plants source alone.

I got a copy when it came out but went ahead and got more when the book came out. I've seen these plays live and they're breathtaking and I love them and in honor of this sale I'm going to go off for a while with a list of Mormon Lit recommendations and reasons I like each.
I'll start with these plays. @mel_leilani's films (Freetown and Jane & Emma) are more widely known and are both important milestones in Mormon cinema. But Mel is at her very best writing for the intimacy of the stage.

2️⃣V/Q mismatch. More Q than V but regions with low V not entirely excluded from gas exchange. Can improve w increasing FiO2. Probably 75-90% of hypoxemia cases. Wide Aa gradient.

An otherwise healthy 40 year old woman comes to you after reading on the internet about a terrible disease that one in a thousand women get, and a highly accurate test that can save her life.
The test is over 99% accurate in people with the disease. For those without disease, the test is only wrong 5% of the time.

You order this test and it comes back positive. The woman anxiously asks you, do I have the disease? What is the chance this woman has the disease?
Assuming they weren't immediately fooled by the "test is only wrong 5 % of the time," most I've asked correctly recognize the stats provided are Sensitivity = 99% and Specificity = 95%, and that the objective is to determine the Positive Predictive Value.
