Good to see the Beast covering this. Will be crucial to see if NYT & WaPo do. They seem to have a tendency not to re-report from Guardian/Observer unless they have a deal and/or their own exclusive coverage. thedailybeast.com/leading-brexit…
There is a clear journalistic basis however to drop the silly hyper-competitiveness and cover the damn story. Recall that NYT was brought in for Wylie coverage to shield @carolecadwalla from threat letters from Squire Patton Boggs, SCL’s counsel. amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/j…

Collusion Media & Democrats are saying that FISA and 302 information shouldn't be declassified as @realDonaldTrump has ordered because it would:

1. "Expose sources and methods"
2. "Interfere with the investigation"

These arguments are ridiculous

First - @realDonaldTrump was lawfully elected as President & is therefore head of the executive branch

He's the highest declassification authority, the FBI/DOJ/IC work for him and he's accountable to the public

Anonymous, unaccountable leakers in the DOJ/FBI/IC are NOT
So lets go through the last year or two and see what "sources and methods" have already been revealed and what "interference with the investigation" has already happened - due to illegal leaks by the same people who are opposing lawful declassification today

1. I know it's hard for regular folks to keep up with the dribs and drabs of info on the Russiagate narrative, and put it all into a cohesive story to understand the bigger picture. Once all the tidbits are compiled, it's quite obvious its been a #witchhunt.
2. Without rehashing the entire story, I will point out the major fallacies by directing your attention to some critical work by others. The lies we've been told by the NYT & WaPo have become so ingrained in the public conciseness it will take a Herculean effort to change it.
3. The Dossier was the focus for all of 2017, until we learned it was junk, paid for by HRC. No problem. Switch to the Papadop story, which has been the focus for the last 6 months. Now that story has been completely dismantled, as explained by @JohnWHuber
