This looks to be fun look at renal research around the world. I made my picks the way I make my picks at a horse track - I went by the titles. I expect as with #nephmadness as the results come in I'll learn why my picks were wrong and then more about the research that advances.

First, why does CMS speak of patients? I am not a CMS patient, I am a CMS beneficiary. As Balovlenkov says CMS is an insurance company (not a provider). CMS is also the rule setter and enforcer. CMS is our care overseer, a rung above the provider
Thus my answer: connect with us as beneficiaries not to tell us how we could be doing more - exercise, selfcare, HHD - rather to know who we are as individual. My treatment goals, my measure of health, how I am. AND take some ownership of the results, for the answers

whole lotta cops here at the albemarle county office building for the board of supervisors meeting. a surprising number of people in the gallery for 1pm on a wednesday, maybe 40 or so. i’m not sure if that’s typical for a BOS meeting.
i suspect it will be largely the same information offered by city, county, and state police at previous community briefings about the weekend of august 10-12, but i’ll post it either way.
oh dear, i think i’m the only person in this auditorium who didn’t stand for the pledge.

AU wherein, despite the prejudice people have against hybrids, Jeongguk’s managed to work his way up the ranks and establish a name for himself.
Taehyung, a hybrid w/ a difficult temperament, somehow falls under his care.
The only problem? Jeongguk wants nothing to do with him.
Little context:
More often than not, hybrids are sold as ‘pets’. The handful that do make smth out of themselves still fall victim to some sort of discrimination. Jeongguk’s gone through a lot & is disgusted by it all, so when Taehyung’s given to him, he hates the entire ordeal.
Notes
• Jeongguk has been aged up, so he’s four years older than Taehyung purely to allot for time wherein he becomes successful.
• This may border on nsfw.
• Taehyung will not act as a ‘pet’ or anything similar. He is a person.
