 I'm an passionate Remainer. But this has to be said:
May's deal gives the EU27 everything they want. And although that benefits me personally, as a Briton I cannot feel happy about Brexiters having manouvred my homeland into such a subservient position.
2/
 In the clear light of day, the EU have out-pokered us completely. Which is not surprising, considering they are some of the best negotiaters in the world. Indeed, we became the 5th largest economy on the back of such negotiators. But Brexiters thought they could do it better.
3/
 So what have the EU27 won?
Well, they've got rid of a somewhat troublesome UK, while at the same time continuing to have unfettered access to our markets. Far from German car makers or Italian Prosecco producers coming to our rescue, we've handed them our markets on a plate.

 The great eye-opener of Brexit is that it's shown us how unfit many of our politicians are for the job.
This is mainly due to the UK electoral system. The FPTP system means that the only real "talent" every MP needs is the ability to win an election in his/her constituency.
2/
 But the problem is, that produces a monotone breed of MP who can do very little else. You don't have to be intelligent or informed to win an election. You just need to be good at public relations. And in safe seats, it's often enough justto toe the party line.
3/
 All of this is a major handicap when it comes to deciding big issues. Having no experise themselves, ministers are reliant upon the opinions of civil servants, while MPs are reliant upon the official party line or political think tanks. Most have no grasp of the issues itself

Which happened. When I was a small child. A distant family member got HIV from a blood transfusion, got kicked out of school, and Smother became an HIV/AIDS activist, 2000 miles away from the actual sick kid. Her activism consisted mostly of throwing parties (aka fundraisers.)
